What Is Luckycoin (LKY)? A Scrypt Coin and Its Wrapped Version
Abstract
Luckycoin is a Scrypt proof-of-work cryptocurrency that launched in 2013 and can be merge-mined with Litecoin and Dogecoin. We explain what it is, how it relates to the other Scrypt coins, and how Scrypt Bridge wraps it one-for-one as wLKY so it can be used in Solana markets, without inventing any figures about its emission.

Luckycoin (LKY) is one of the earliest coins in the Litecoin and Dogecoin family. According to mining-pool documentation it launched in 2013 as a proof-of-work coin using the Scrypt algorithm, and it uses auxiliary proof of work, so miners can mine it together with Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time [1]. Because it uses the same kind of hardware and can share hashrate, it sits in the same ecosystem as those coins.
2. Two versions of the same coin
Native LKY lives on its own blockchain, where its issuance follows its own consensus rules; consult Luckycoin's own documentation for its emission schedule, which this guide does not restate. wLKY is a version on Solana. Scrypt Bridge locks native LKY in a reserve and mints the same amount of wLKY; burning wLKY releases native LKY. This is the idea behind wrapped assets, and it lets a proof-of-work coin be traded in Solana markets without changing how much LKY exists.
