Your Ethereum wallet address is what people use to send you ETH and tokens. Finding it takes a few seconds, but a mistake can send funds to the wrong place, so it is worth checking.
Find it in Scrypt Wallet
Open Receive, choose ETH, then copy the address or scan the QR code. If you hold more than one ETH wallet, check which one is selected.
What an Ethereum address looks like
An Ethereum address starts with 0x and is 42 characters long. It is made of numbers and the letters a to f. If an address is shorter, longer or doesn't start with 0x, it isn't a valid Ethereum address.
The same address works on other networks
The same 0x address can exist on Ethereum and on other networks that work the same way. A balance on one network does not appear on another. Before you receive, check which network the sender is using. If you are not sure, send a small amount first. See what is gas for why each network has its own fees.
Check it before you share it
- Copy and paste the address, and never retype it.
- Compare the first and last few characters in the app against what you pasted.
- Look the address up on Etherscan to confirm it exists and see what it holds.
Tokens use the same address
ERC-20 tokens are received at the same address as ETH. You don't need a separate address for each token. See what is an ERC-20 token and how to check an ETH balance.
Never share more than the address
Your address is safe to share. Your recovery phrase and private key are not, and support will never ask for them. See private keys and seed phrases. Back to the Ethereum wallet.
