Scrypt Network is a free service for running and monitoring full nodes of the Scrypt chains. It shows a live map and node counts for each chain, and lets you add and track your own nodes. It is in beta, so expect rough edges.
Why nodes matter
A full node checks every block and transaction against the rules itself. The more independent nodes a chain has, the harder it is for any one party to mislead its users. Small Scrypt coins often have only a handful of nodes, so every extra one helps.
What you can do
- See the network. A live map and node counts for every supported chain.
- Run a node. Use the Node Manager to set up a node for Litecoin, Dogecoin or one of the merged-mining chains.
- Track nodes you already run. Create a connector for an external node and it reports its status to your dashboard.
- Use one account. Sign in with your Scrypt Wallet account. There is nothing separate to register.
- Get help. The Support section covers setup questions.
How to start
1. Create a Scrypt Wallet account if you do not have one.
2. Open Scrypt Network and choose to sign in with your wallet.
3. Open Node Manager and follow the steps for the chain you want to run.
Where it fits
Scrypt Network is built by the Scrypt Labs team. We run nodes ourselves for the chains we support, and Scrypt Explorer and the Scrypt Mining Calculator read from them. Network gives everyone else a way to add to that set. See all Scrypt products, and read merged mining explained for how the chains relate.
