"Best" depends on what you are optimising. This page ranks the 39 Scrypt ASIC miners in the Scrypt Calculator three ways: by efficiency, by size and noise, and by raw hashrate. Every name links to a page with live estimated income and break-even electricity price for that machine.

Hashrate, power and noise are the figures each maker or seller lists. They are not wall-power measurements from us, and real noise depends on fan speed and room. Efficiency is power divided by hashrate, so lower is better.

Most efficient Scrypt miners

Efficiency is the number of joules the machine spends per megahash. It sets how much electricity you pay for every share you submit, which is the main running cost.

Efficiency is only half the answer: what matters is the miner's break-even electricity price against your own rate, which the Scrypt Mining Calculator works out from live network data.

Highest hashrate

If you want the most hashes from one unit, these lead the catalog. They are also the largest and draw the most power.

Quietest and smallest for home use

These models draw 1,000 W or less and list a noise figure. Smaller machines suit a spare room or garage better than a full-size 3,000 W unit, and earn proportionally less. For a fuller look at heat and circuits see running a Scrypt miner at home.

Liquid-cooled models

Hydro (liquid-cooled) versions list the lowest noise among the large machines because they move heat into a water loop instead of loud fans. They need a cooling loop and somewhere for the heat to go, so they suit a dedicated site more than a living space.

Older and less efficient models

Machines at 0.895 J/Mh or worse use more than four times the electricity per hash of the leaders. They only break even where power is very cheap, so check the calculator before buying one second-hand.

How to choose

1. Find your electricity price per kWh, including any fixed fees.
2. Open the calculator, pick two or three miners and compare their break-even electricity price with your rate.
3. Check noise, cooling, input voltage and warranty with the seller. The directory of all 39 miners has the full list, and the head-to-head pages compare pairs.
4. When you are ready to start, follow how to start Scrypt mining.

Estimates are projections from current network data, not payouts. Pool luck, uptime, rejected shares and price changes decide what you actually receive.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most efficient Scrypt miner?

By the listed specs, Bitdeer SealMiner DL1 Air is the most efficient in the Scrypt Calculator at 0.149 J/Mh. Efficiency is power divided by hashrate, so lower means less electricity per hash.

What is the quietest Scrypt miner?

Among models drawing 1,000 W or less, DG Home 1 lists the lowest noise at 45 dB. Liquid-cooled models of the large machines also list low noise but need a cooling loop.

Is the most efficient miner always the most profitable?

Not by itself. Profit depends on the purchase price, your electricity rate, the pool fee and coin prices. Compare break-even electricity prices in the calculator instead of efficiency alone.

Are these specs measured?

No. They are the figures the manufacturer or seller lists. Real power draw and noise vary with settings, temperature and firmware.
