The token price is not the total cost
A displayed MCDx price is a reference point. What you pay in a swap depends on the actual route and amount. The bid-ask spread is the gap between buying and selling prices; price impact is how much your order moves the available pool quote. Slippage tolerance is a limit you authorize, not a fee you are promised to pay. Solana network fees are separate from all three.
Before signing, compare the amount you send with the minimum MCDx you may receive. Check whether the wallet shows any route or platform fee, and leave enough SOL for network costs. A small trade can still have a poor effective price when liquidity is shallow. Breaking an order into pieces is not automatically cheaper: each transaction has costs and market conditions can move between them.
Liquidity-pool returns are a separate decision
If you later supply MCDx to a DeFi pool, pool fees and incentives are not the same as the return of McDonald's's underlying share. A liquidity-pool APY like the current 126.62% on Orca is a separate, unrelated source of potential return that carries pool and smart-contract risk. Compare the value of both assets when entering and leaving, not only the headline APY.
